    Best Plate Carrier I Have Owned

    The LV-119 series of plate carriers are made for end users who desire efficiency and reliability from their equipment. Every part of the plate carrier is designed thoughtfully and in a manner that encourages organization and quick access. From the internal map pouch in the carrier (which can also double as an area to stash a medical kit or any extraneous items that can comfortably fit) to the multiple cummerbund attachment options, and even in details as simple as the location of the buckles or how easily placards and cummerbunds can be switched out, it is clear that this carrier was designed for the person that wants to hold their armor and equipment and have the assurance that it will be there when they need it. The unique cut of the carrier allows for easy shouldering of your rifle and does not impede your range of motion when climbing objects, maneuvering in and out of vehicles/buildings, or shooting with both pistols and rifles. Additionally, the minimalist design lends itself well to low profile mission sets but can easily be scaled up and carry a great deal of equipment and ammo. The slim cut and overall small size of the carrier when compared to other brands allows the carrier to stay comfortable even over extended periods of time or under chest rigs and rucksacks. The is an excellent option that I highly recommend to the professional soldier, law enforcement officer, or law abiding, gun loving citizen who wishes to be prepared. As a bonus, the carrier is extremely modular, and I have found it compatible with cummerbunds and placards from many different companies as long as you can get creative enough.

    First and foremost, the LV119 Plate Carrier systems is the Gucciest. Whether you're just trying to look cool on the gram, or you have actual mission sets demanding the highest quality out of your gear...you CANNOT go wrong with this kit. High quality, super comfortable, and the customer service backing the product is top notch. I reached out to ensure I would get my PC prior to heading across the pond on short notice. Spiritus ensured my kit was in the mail and headed my direction within a few minutes. LITERALLY MINUTES. Dope gear and a dope company. You will be taking more of my money in the future, Spiritus.

    Customer Support

    Ordered the medium LV-119 thinking this size would be fine. However, I forgot the Golden rule of plate bags....match your plates to the bags, not the other way around. Therefore, had to swap to a large instead. Reached out to customer support on a Sunday evening thinking I wouldn't get a response until Tuesday earliest. They responded in less than an hour!! They gave me direction on what to do in order to swap sizes, and gave me no issue returning my unused product. And even on top of that, they were willing to put in extra steps to ensure I received my bags prior to my weekend training!! Amazing products with even more amazing customer service!!

    Fit, modularity, and customer service

    Spiritus review I came across Spiritus after watching Shake Down: Counting Coup Tactical’s Recce Kit on YouTube. https://youtu.be/NUoemDTiHvs the versatility of the kit and the way it looked used and abused but still functional. The way it made sense to see a guy with real experience talk about “why”. That sparked my journey. Then I see guys like GarandThumb and MilspecMojo all guys who are in a similar line of work that are either running the Overt kit or have for a while. I purchased the kit which was easy compared to other sites, just try Safariland, and was very pleased from day one minute one. The kit was comfortable as modular. Medium was perfect. I am 5’10” 200lbs with a 32” waist. Everything had its place but also had options. If you’re Military or LE and your department allows it I highly encourage you trying this kit. Gear of course has to work for you and I found this works for me. After running a kit for the Military I decided to run it for work as a team member of the Special Reaction Team. So I ordered another and the Spiritus Customer Service is on point, polite and professional but they’re not robots. They will listen to what you have to say and genuinely take care of their customers. A rare thing these days. This is one of many reasons why I would choose Spiritus for my tactical needs over others.

    I have 2 of these bad boys. (RG/BLK) This carrier is dope. Very high quality materials, constructed in a very high quality way. It's currently my favorite carrier that fits my specific needs. I highly recommend this for anyone kicking in doors, or just being a prepared citizen. Also, shout out to the Spiritus Systems team, they are really good at getting orders processed quick. Customer service is awesome. Thanks guys.

    LV-119 Over

    Great plate carrier. What really sold me on getting one of these was the one piece design in regards to the shoulder straps and actual platebag. I ran the JPC’s I was issued for years, but I went through a few of those because the stitching between the shoulder webbing and platebag would fray and really didn’t fit my shoulders well. So with that being said, great job on the one piece design; it holds up to abuse and sits comfortably flush with my shoulders and torso. So far my LV-119 has held up better than my issued JPC’a and AVS through a rough workup and deployment. There’s a lot of plate carriers out there to choose from, and if you like something simple, durable, and modular enough for the job the Overt is great. I run a micro fight as my primary placard, and the back panels are a great improvement on the other brands that started the back panel thing years ago. I’ve ran my overt slick under a jacket, under a free-fall parachute, fully loaded out with side plates, water, ammo, back panel, breaching tools, etc. More comfortable and durable than anything else I’ve used in the past. My only complaint is please make a radio pouch soon because I’m tired of wearing through my crye pouches!

    Phenomenal Plate Bag and Support!

    Loved the vest and the modularity of the whole system. Wasn't sure on how to setup everything when shipment arrived, called support and spoke to Patrick and received fanatical support, vest is full setup and fully operational now.

    Straight Boolin

    Got lucky to get a all ranger green set up, overt front and rear with the QD cummerbund, listen to the sizing on the description, tape should be on your belly button not the belt line or your gonna be big mad when it shows up as a tourniquet. Was skeptical of the shock cord method for lacing the cummerbund but after relacing it 6 times for the perfect fit so the top of the plate is in line with your sternum dent it's very sturdy and not going anywhere, live in FL so I made it comfortable for donning over a t-shirt because all we have here are gators and methheads. Over all I would recommend this to anyone who was thinking of getting something similar to a ferro slickster, many people actually prefer this to that. Definitely plan on getting spiritus attachments for scaling up if needed.

The LV/119 SYSTEM

 

The LV/119 SYSTEM is a group of products that work together to give end-users the ability to scale their equipment to their current needs. The fact that this is a cohesive system means that users can mix and match accessories in most cases. For example: One could take a C O V E R T Front or Rear Plate bag and use it with an O V E R T Front and Rear Plate Bag. Users may also also cross pollinate cummerbunds, shoulder covers, and other parts that will be available. The SYSTEM encompasses many parts, some of which are currently available and some that are in development, such as Back Panels of various types, MOLLE cummerbunds, First Spear TUBES™ integrations, and different placards.

 

The O V E R T shares the same profile as the C O V E R T plate bags but with modifications that make it more suitable for high profile operations. The front bag features a 3 Row / 4 Column MOLLE field that doubles as a 6” x 3” loop field. This may be used to attach End User Devices (EUDs), such as those made by KAGWERKS or Juggernaut Defense. The loop field may be used to mount placards, patches, and IR identifiers. The MOLLE can also be used to mount administrative pouches, frag grenade pouches, or anything else users may require quick need access to. Every front plate bag comes standard with sewn loops on the sides for attaching First Spear TUBES™ for use with our TUBES™ cummerbund.

 

Placard and Chest Rig Integration.

All LV/119 Plate Bags offer placard and chest rig integration via removable 1 Inch ITW NEXUS Buckles. These clips are removable, allowing users to reduce the signature of the plate bag if it is being worn under a cover shirt or being utilized in a low-profile role.

 

Push To Talk Support.

Each O V E R T front plate bag comes standard with a PTT/Porkchop Loop on either side.

 

Communication Cable Routing.

The Modern Warfighter and Law Enforcement Officer has a radio. To date, the majority of manufacturers have not taken end-user communications needs in to their design considerations - we endeavor to break that paradigm.  The O V E R T front bag offers open shoulders to facilitate commo cable routing inside the plate bags and over the shoulders. It also offers small routing points by the 1 Inch ITW NEXUS buckles on the chest - easily accommodating PTT cable routing.

 

Plate Fitment. 

The carrier was designed to fit United States Standard Issue SAPI cut plates, but it will fit other cuts as well as long as they fit within the specifications listed below. The bags were built to accommodate "thicker" plates, but they will not fit plates do not fall within the measurements listed. 

 

Medium - 9.5" x 12.5" 

Large - 10" x 13.25" 

Extra Large- 11" x 14.00"

Thickness - MAXIMUM of 1.20"
