Good product
I run an Ak and the mags still fit pretty good facing up. Good retention. Would recommend
WARNING: This insert is ONLY compatible with the Micro Fight MK4 and MK3 Chassis. It is not compatible with the MK2 or MK1 Chassis, nor plate carrier kangaroo pouches.
The Micro Fight Magazine Insert is a custom solution to a common problem. Instead of using pull tabs, Velcro, snap flaps. or a hard kydex insert; we have chosen to use something a little more versatile.
Using elastic is very quiet when removing or adding magazines, giving you quick and easy access to your magazines while providing excellent retention. Elastic will not deform due to heat over time and although it will loosen some with use, it will still provide excellent retention of your magazines. The magazine insert is retained by hard loop velcro sewn to both sides. This allows for the insert to fit in the front and rear pockets of the Micro Fight Chassis (MK3 and Mk4). The Micro Fight Rifle Magazine Insert will accept both PMAGS and USGI magazines.
This is a critical component of the Micro Fight Chest Rig System. You can place an insert in both the front and rear pocket of your Micro Fight Chest Rig. This will enable you to hold a total of 6 x 5.56 Magazines or 4 x 7.62 Magazines.
Available in Jet Black Only
The Micro Fight Rifle Inserts are currently available in the following configurations:
5.56 x .45 - 3 magazines, single stack. Dimensions 9" x 4"
7.62 x .51 - 2 magazines, single stack. Dimension 7.75" x 4"
7.62 x .51 (HK) 2 magazines, single stack. Dimensions 9" x 4"
NOTE: The MAGAZINE INSERT is a required product for the Micro Fight Chest Rig System.

I run an Ak and the mags still fit pretty good facing up. Good retention. Would recommend
Great product excellent retention. Works with other brands plate carriers also.
Installation was easy, holds my mags perfectly In place. Even while running and jumping my mags stay right where I need them until I need them.
Fits in a Micro - better than the kydex inserts from HS in my opinion- better retention on STANAG mags than theirs.
While it specifies that the 7.62 inserts are for NATO mags, your banana bois from the Motherland will fit, too
This product is great. Note that it has hook on both sides. (hook and loop)
Does exactly what its supposed to!
quality is Really good the mags are held really tight which in some cases is good but if you want a looser fit leave the mags in over night to stretch it out and both sides have hook Velcro just if anyone is wondering
Turned my 5.56 rig into a 7.62 rig in 1 minute flat. Arrived at my door Amazon-fast, and fits Scar 17 mags perfectly. Can reinsert mags with just support hand very easily but still maintains excellent retention. Can't recommend enough if you switch calibers from time to time.
Top quality (like everything else from Spiritus)!
Excellent quality. Second Spiritus insert I've purchased. Cutting a sheet of paper in half (like the receipt) and using the two halves to separate the insert velcro from the carrier velcro while installing helps avoid frustration. Also helps to have mags in the insert while installing, so all the dimensions are correct when the velcro takes hold. The elastic holds up well. Quality materials and construction. No issues with my old insert, which I still use. I'm not sure if this is recommended, but I keep mags inserted when my carrier is stored so the inserts don't relax too much and potentially cause hang-ups while jamming mags in quickly. I haven't had a problem with hang-ups, but it's just a precaution.
Durable... everything about your products are great!
Fits very snug. Would highly recommend keeping mags in the insert for a period of time to allow the inserts to stretch a bit to help with re-indexing. Overall great product.
Worth the money, shipped quickly as does everything from here. Did the shake test and all held up perfect.
Great product. It works perfect for my setup.
Got it for 25rd 308 pmags. Works great.
I just purchased 2 and they are very nice; I wasn’t sure how well they’d fit into the chassis because of the seams on the ends, but they fit like a charm and hold the magazines nice and tight!
seems high quality, hold mags tightly
These things are the bomb.com. retention is great and reindexing could be a little tedious but i've got the hang of it now.
Fits great, shipped fast (once in stock)
retention is perf. great product
Initially I was concerned that elastic was going to make it hard to put mags in. Spiritus was right again, the hook and loop on the outside attached to the inside of the chasis keeps the elastic open for inserting mags. Just a few minutes playing around with the technique got me squared away. A simple, light, inexpensive answer to the question.
Spiritus continues to make top notch gear. This insert works great with my scar 17 mags. Easy to insert as well as remove mags. Retention is perfect. I own every mag insert spiritus makes as well as most of the other gear they make and I can honestly say I trust this gear with my life. I appreciate all of the thought and hard work you put into your products. Thanks guys!
As the title says fits and functions like a dream
Excellent retention, easy to put in, what more can you ask for? Outstanding product.
The triple 556 mag holder for the micro fight system works very well. Mags do reindex with ease, don’t worry about that. Great products by great people.
Quality gear, affordable, and I wish I had this when I was in the service.
The .308 inserts will fit 5.56 HK G36 standard pattern magazines, but it’s a very tight fit. Definitely keep a dump pouch handy for empty mags as you're not gonna get them back into the rig quickly, but it does work. You kinda have to muscle them into the place card, but extracting them isn’t difficult. Would suggest trying the 417 insert for G36 standard pattern magazine.
Easy to install and set up, retains mags well and is way easier to re-index mags than I thought it was going to be.
Chassis works great on my plate carrier, and beats the hell out of trying to adjust MOLLE pouches for different jobs. Also easy to remove/attach the chassis to wear the carrier under a cover shirt during a surveillance with an anticipated take down. I would like a two 5.56 mag holder option to carry two rifle mags and two pistol mags in the same pocket of the chassis.
I’ll keep this as short as possible, I have the 7.62x51 insert and it works great, for my Tapco SKS magazines. I’ve always been one to try something different and well I’d say this is quite different than the norm. Don’t worry though for my purists out their, it still remains in its original wood body, with irons and all.
So when I first ordered this product I did so with the intention of using it for AK magazines, specifically the 7.62 x 39 and was skeptical on weather or not it would work for the curve of the Magazine. I'm happy to report they work perfectly with great retention.
Draws nice and smooth. No snags no fuss. I thought it was a bit too wide when I first tried to install it into the micro fight but you just need to put mags in and insert it or line one side with cardboard and place them that way. Really happy with it.
Overall very good quality! It retains really well, takes time to learn to reindex mags but it works. I do prefer having a kydex insert but I can live with these. For installation, I place all three mags in the insert then placed the whole unit into the chassis.
Love it. Pretty easy to index/reinsert mags into the right spot. Holds them snug enough to where they don't fly out while running or diving on the ground.
Obviously the big worry here is reindexing. I'm not there yet if I had to do it on the move or with any urgency I would be tempted to ditch the mag and move. I'm sure this will be trainable, I would like to see if I can get metal inserts to fit in this. So does this do its job? Yeah. As for reindexing, embrace the suck or conquer it.
Holds 30 round and 40 round pmags and the metal stang mags securely and can re-index them with ease. It does take a little bit of practice to get it right.
This is a good product. Easy to install and holds really well when placed properly on a Micro Fight Rig. Once placed, apply pressure for all the hook and loop to connect and absolutely no issues. I have already practiced 30-40 draws with all 3 mags and no issues. Thanks for making a great product
good hold on magazines. no need to woory about them falling out. reindexing is doable but on the run or high adrenaline situations youre going to need to put in time and repetition to get it down smoothly.
No worries at all about 5.56 Gen 3 PMAGs falling out, but it is worth noting that the retention is very tight. I'm still not sure about reindexing on the run, but it is definitely doable if you stop for a moment and focus.
great set up with super tight retintion
Pretty much copy and pasting pistol mag review. Everything still applies. Spiritus shipping is super fast Holds mags solidly and firmly. Insert magazines before adding to chassis. Practice inserting mags to get the feel of changes and reinsertion. I run the 3x 5.56 and 2x pistol. It feels more than sufficient. Pistol insert holds sig, glock, 1911, and beretta mags just fine. 5.56 insert holds pmag, lancers, surefeed and alum stanag mags just fine
10/10 excellent for AR mags, my PMAG’s and STANAG’s fit great, but the magazines I own in which I was not sure if they would fit are G36 PMAG’s, so if anyone out there was curious LISTEN UP! Current generation G36 PMAG’s will only fit 2 mags due to the width of the top end of the magazine. You can shove a third in there, but good luck getting them out. I’m a right handed shooter, so I insert magazines top down in the center slot, and the far right slot leaving the far left slot empty. If you’re a lefty you’d probably be facing your mags the opposite way so I’d imagine you’d utilize center and far left leaving the right slot empty. They are extremely snug while in there, but it does work. I may try the 7.62 inserts to see if they work a little better, but do rest assured that G36 PMAG’s do fit (to an extent) in the micro fight place card despite it being designed for AR mags. I do not know if standard G36 mags will fit, but my assumption is no since the PMAG’s are extremely snug and they are significantly more slim.
Great retention and their is a minor break-in period. Holds magazines in many positions and situations; silent draw and no concern about losing mags or having the mags move while in their sleeve. I will be purchasing the double handgun insert next because of how well this product words.
I've studied the Spiritus Systems rig for a while. I finally pulled the trigger and got one. The modularity is a huge selling point as well as numerous other options. I've ran this in one training class to date and I'm only mad about how long I waited to buy one.
The triple mag pouch works well with my PMags and even better with my Lancer mags. I recommend installing it with the magazines inserted. The Velcro holds the pouches open very well even after compressing the empty chest rig. The 7.62 pouch works quite well with AK mags.

This item worked exactly as advertised. Plus I was lucky enough to get one from Spiritus. Everyone else was out of stock!! So I had the chassis, but no mag inserts. Thanks guys!
Just got my insert recently and finally had a chance to run it through the ringer, with sprints and various other movements. My magazines didn’t budge and even tried it with my Scorpion mags. Even though the scorpion mags are a lot smaller than the 5.56 mags, the retention in the elastic for the inserts still worked amazingly.
Spiritus Systems once again delivers a great product and customer service. They recommended that I try the HK417 inserts for G3 mags and I gave it a shot. They ended up working perfectly. If you have a G3 and want to run this chest rig I highly recommend using these inserts.
Very good retention, I use it almost every day at work and it is still going strong. I like using USGI mags because the M3 PMAG nub can get hung up sometimes, but it is no big deal. Great product and a must have for the Micro Fight.
What can i say it works as designed. I've tried Lanser, Magpul and USGI Mags and they all fit without a hitch in the pouch. Another winner.
I’m giving it 5 stars since it does everything that was intended perfectly, which is retain your magazines in a compact, collapsible package. I personally prefer to reindex magazines, which is doable on this, however the pouches are not inherently designed for fast reindexing (I believe Spiritus FAQ said they are not purposed for reindexing). Still great.
It does what it says it does, and a bit more. While not designed for AK mags, they'll fit the 5.56mm version. The issue lies in the extra curve in the AK mag, as they sit pretty close and knock together. The locking tab also tends to catch a bit on the bottom of the retention sleeve. In short, it works in a pinch even though its not intended to. All in all, another fantastic product.
Perfect for 30s and 40 rounders
A great idea for mag retention. Quiet mag insertion and release. Stiff enough to retain mags. Will need to try it in more rugged conditions to test mag retention and overall product durability.
Very tight and allows great retention of the magazines: GI aluminum, P-mag (both gene and 3) and worked well with the 40rnd P-mags. Easy to install, quick to use. 5/5..... Side note: I Wouldn't recommend leaving exposed if jumping from Helo/Birds, but from the running and Jumping I have done with loaded mags inserted, I couldn't get them to slip or move unless I wanted them to. GREAT RETENTION!
Perfect fit for the Micro Fight Chassis MK3, it allows your mags to be inserted into the chassis while giving them excellent retention. They are easy to put in and get out and don't move or become loose when running or using this rig for its intended use.
paired with the MK3 rig these are awesome. the retention on these are awesome. they hold on to the magazine like nobodies business but when its time to take one out, youll have no issues. installation is relatively simple also
Absolutely well made, does exactly what it's supposed to. Fits any AR mags snugly, regardless of manufacturer. Fabric is very thick and appears durable. Stitching is well done and sturdy.
