The Combat Action Tourniquet.

A staple of the Global War On Terror. The Gold Standard in occluding massive hemorrhaging on a patient's limbs.

Every single person should have multiple TQ's on them while conducting military or law enforcement operations. Also great for everyday carry as you are statistically more likely to encounter a medical emergency in your daily life rather than a scenario which requires you to use deadly force.

Although Black has long been the standard color for TQ's OCONUS, we also offer High Visibility Orange. This helps others identify sites where tourniquets have been applied more easily, which is especially useful when handing a patient off to another point of care.

The C-A-T is the Official Tourniquet of the U.S Army and has been proved to be 100% effective in occluding blood flow in both upper and lower extremities. (U.S. Army's Institute of Surgical Research)

This generation features the New Single Routing Buckle, reinforced windlass, stabilization plate, windlass clip, and the writeable security tab.

The C-A-T is known for fast application, which aids with decreased blood loss, effective slack removal, fewer windlass turns, and simplified training.

Sold individually. Some images shown with additional accessories, sold separately.

CAT gen7
Written by Jake Rogers on Sep 21st 2020

There is a standard when it comes to medical care. Don't buy crap because it looks cool or you read a forum post that said whatever. Be data driven, not anecdotal. When it comes to trauma care, if it isn't NAEMT approved, then DO NOT use it. CATgen7 TQ's are proven, buy a bunch (from SS) and put them everywhere. People bleed out faster than you think, and remember it doesn't do you any good without training, and it definitely doesn't do you any good still wrapped up in your MOLLE 5.11 Tactical "Grey Man" bag... Support Spiritus Systems and buy from them. Rock on.
