The EUD Bridge: Mounting End User Devices (ATAK) on a chest rig

Over the last several years, we’ve seen a growing need for integration of End User Devices (EUDs) into chest rig setups. Especially as ATAK and similar platforms have been widely adopted by organizations and individuals in an effort to enhance capabilities. Whether you're coordinating team movements, calling for fire, or managing airspace deconfliction, these devices are heavily integrated tools that are relied upon. The problem with trying to integrate in an EUD device into a chest rig is that typically anything mounted in between the straps on the chest causes the straps to want to sag and the EUD ends up wanting to flop around as its not effectively anchored to the strap. That’s where the EUD Bridge comes in.

When we set out to build a dedicated mounting system for EUDs we had a list of requirements we wanted to meet, integrating an EUD into a chest rig without compromising mobility, comfort, or equipment access. The result is a minimalist, purpose-built solution that does exactly that.

The EUD Bridge mounts between your chest rig’s shoulder straps, creating a centralized, stable platform for your device. It’s constructed from CURV thermoplastic composite and Squadron laminate. Both are highly durable and lightweight materials selected specifically for their ability to withstand hard use in the field. The whole system is designed to be low-profile, rigid enough to hold up to constant movement, and flexible enough to mount and dismount in seconds.

Anyone who’s ever tried to run an EUD has probably experienced one or all of the following issues before: floppy mounts, weird cable routing, devices that bounce around due to not being anchored properly. In addition, an often-overlooked part of running digital systems in the field is how you manage accessories like Push-to-Talk (PTT) units. The Bridge includes a mounting plate kit that allows users to hard-mount an MPU5 PTT using its gator clip screws, eliminating the need to rely on the factory gator clip. That’s not just a convenience—it’s a reliability and safety upgrade. In a dynamic environment, clip-on components can pop off or shift. Screwing the PTT down gives you a secure hard point that stays put no matter what. The platform is also compatible with any chest rig shoulder straps that accept MOLLE attachments, so it integrates cleanly into existing setups without the need for proprietary gear.

The EUD Bridge is available now in the following colors: Multicam, Ranger Green, Coyote Brown, and Black. For more information check out our YouTube channel for a product overview as well as product guides.
